The check in time is 4pm. The checkout time is 11am unless otherwise agreed with the Coldharbour team. Occasionally we can accommodate an earlier check in time if requested. If so, we will text you when the property is ready.

For a weekly booking we generally like to keep to Saturday and Saturday but we are flexible depending on availability. Please enquire at time of booking.

We have plenty of free parking by all our properties and it is very safe. We have automatic gates to the cottage and will give you a code on arrival if necessary.

There are two dedicated parking spaces specifically for the Shepherds Hut. From there it is just a short walk along a sealed path to the Hut (about 20m).

Yes, the cottage is at the end of a long drive which is gated at night. The children can play around the cottage quite safely. All farm traffic uses the dedicated Farm entrance.

Coldharbour Cottage

There is a small cottage garden with a lawn. A TP slide and toy box with lots of bats and balls for children is also available. We do have a summer house for those who want to sit and watch.

Log Cabin

The cabin has open access to a 10 acre field. So run, play and have fun. Sometimes there may be a few sheep in the fields but they shouldn’t bother anyone. We do have an enclosed area to the rear of the cabin overlooking the ponds.

Shepherd’s Hut

The orchard has 70 fruit trees and its fun to learn about the different varieties. Have a look in the Shepherds Hut Information Leaflet for more details. So run, play and have fun.

Yes, generally speaking we have at least one fenced field or paddock which your pets can run free in. Please request on arrival or at time of booking.

Yes, of course, but its use is exclusively for people staying within the Log cabin. We would just ask you to read and follow the very simple rules for your own safety. These are all laid out in the Log Cabin Information Book before you use the appliance.

We have a small library in each of the properties with some brochures and suggestions. We live on the farm and are more than happy to help plan your stay if you wish. We know where the good eating places are, the best tea rooms and places to shop!
